Provident Literacy is a school-focused literacy platform designed for use by teachers and school staff to support literacy assessment and instruction for children in school settings.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through:

  • the Provident Literacy iPad app
  • our related websites
  • customer support and service communications

It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, or services that we do not control.

Information provided by schools, teachers, or school staff

  • class membership
  • account and login details
  • support requests and related communications

Student information

When schools or authorised staff use Provident Literacy, we may process student-related information such as:

  • internal student ID

  • assigned lessons
  • recommendation requests and recommendation results
  • educator-entered notes or instructional inputs entered within the app

Information collected automatically

When the Services are used, we may collect limited technical and usage information such as:

  • service performance and usage events relevant to operating, securing, and improving the Services

How We Use Information

We use information we collect to:

  • provide access to the Services
  • authenticate users and maintain account security

Provident Literacy is intended for use by schools and authorised school staff.

We process student information only as needed to provide the educational functions of the Services, including literacy assessment, instructional support, and progression-related recommendations. We do not use student information for advertising.

  • provide the Services
  • perform our contract with the relevant school or organisation
  • pursue legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services

With service providers

These may include Google Firebase and related Google services where used for authentication, connectivity, and supporting backend operations.
